3 Day Quotes Challenge Day I

3 Days Quotes Challenge
Β The threeday quotes challenge

Every now and then I find myself referring to Β different quotes. We love quotes, don’t we? It makes it easier to convey our points with the words of someone who has been there, done that and said something about it. Β Yesterday Samantha from Dictionary Dutch nominated me for the famous 3-day-quote-challenge. You can read her entry here, I am excited to read her day II take on the challenge.

Fortunately today is my home country, INDIA’s republic day and I couldn’t have been nominated at a better time. I want to thank my country man who fought for justice and brought into existence the “Constitution of India” as we know it. Every constitution has its strong points and weak point but to have one was a fight in the 1950s. Well, that’s a topic for another day.

Quotes Dr. B R Ambedkar
Dr. B R Ambedkar was fondly known as “Babasaheb”. He was a juror and he completed his study from London School of Economics and Politics. I love the way he talks about ideas and their mortality. I can not remember how many ideas have died down inside me because I had to write them later! Later I couldn’t remember at all. His this words instill my energy to work better on my writing.

Quotes Dr. A P J Kalam
If you do not know this great man, maybe you should search him on google and read up. He was the science man of India. Switzerland celebrates Science Day on 26th of May in his honor. I read about him when I was but a child, I read about a kid who used to sell Newspapers so his family can survive. One day he found pictures of fighter plane in the paper and he dreamed of flying one himself. He wasn’t the brightest but he had a dream and he worked his ass off for that. He wasn’t selected in the test to be a fighter pilot since he didn’t have the height. That only inspired him a step further and slowly he became a scientist with ISRO and in two decades of hard work and belief he and his fellow scientists has made ISRO a world known organization. I salute to him. He died on 27 July, 2015 and his strength still inspires us all.

I am sorry that became long. This quote posts are supposed to be smaller nah? Thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all Happy Republic Day. πŸ™‚ Now, every game has its rules and this one is no different.

The rules are:

  1. Post three consecutive days
  2. You can pick one or three quotes per day
  3. Challenge three different bloggers per day

My three TRIBUTESΒ are:

Wish the challenge was 4 days long, I could pick twelve tributes that way, but well this isn’t Hunger Games. Sadly. Lol

Happy writing everyone. Look forward to reading your take on this. Have fun πŸ™‚

  1. Love the quote by Dr. B R Ambedkar. It requires energy, persistence and an understanding that many people will ignore one’s message for a long time. This, in no way, reduces its importance. People are fearful of change even if its to their advantage. I am learning to ask more questions of people to get them to think about the concepts of change rather than imposing my ideas on others. It is less intrusive helping people become less defensive in response to new ideas. This is what GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT is all about.

    1. Your technique is very nice. Asking people instead of telling them. You are so right about change, growth and development. It is an important part of life and only we can do it for our selves. Thanks for the encouragement πŸ™‚

    1. I guess you are right about it being favorite. Maybe because we are all aching to share some quotes we love? Haha

I read your post and I love Maya Angelou’s quote. Your blog is plethora of wonderful things.

  2. I’m really glad it isn’t the Hunger Games. eek! Those were scary. I enjoyed the quote from Sylvester Stallone yesterday, I even reposted it on Facebook. Today’s quote was good, but even better was reading about the man who said it. Very interesting!

  3. I had no idea my timing was so right, haha!
And don’t worry about the length of your post: writing does that to people (I always find myself writing more than I intended).
Can’t wait to read your other quotes. Happy Republic Day! πŸ™‚

  4. I also participated in this challenge once. Very uplifting quotes. Thanks for sharing. If I’ll get time I’ll surely post something related to patriotism. BTW, I’ve already written an article country calls. You have quite a good choice. πŸ™‚
