Humanbeanies are funny… Ignoring health till very late.

Tons of overweight people, hospitals are full of patients, we run to doctors even if we catch a cold. We are fearful of becoming sick, yet we do not take care of our health as much as we should. Newspapers and internet forums are full of tips and tricks for a good health and still the global health scale is going down. There’s going to be more people on support of medicines then ever before. How did this happen?

Aren’t we ignorant enough? We ignore many things and we get over things as easily. We forget about out health the same way we forget to clean our attic for years. Soon ghosts occupy the attic and health troubles get accustomed in our body. Don’t just laugh it off, the later is true enough.Β 

Why do we forget about our health till it’s quite late?

We are busy beanies, we are busiest making money and letting health on the loose.

Reasons we are busy:

  1. Laziness
  2. JOB
  3. House chores
  4. Other useless things like shopping, going out, watching TV etc.

Laziness is out biggest enemy in everything. In fact we are quite ashamed of ourselves for being lazy that we have found tons of other words to describe it in different ways for different occasions. Example: Procrastinating, Β sluggish, slothing away, lethargic, ideal, laxity and what not. LOL I am the biggest procrastination in my house maybe and that’s one reason I am writing this today. I want to change. πŸ™‚ Beginning somewhere.

Job and house chores take up almost 12+ hours a day for me, for most of us it’s the same I guess. There’s not much that can be done to cut the time here.

Going out, shopping, watching TV are three habits that can be converted to exercise time easily making it a win-win situation.

Things we can keep doing if we are healthy.
  1. Going out and getting adventurous.
  2. Winning a marathon/triathlon and much more.
  3. Climbing that mountain peak you have been eyeing since forever.
  4. You can celebrate your 70th birthday and talk about not having to take any medicines and perhaps you can give your new son-in-law competition at the arm wrestling.
Health
Yes, please why not? You can do so much in your young age by becoming active and taking care of yourself. Added bonus is your body remain healthy and strong even when you are old. If only we moved our bodies as much as we move our fingers on the smart phone.

 

How do we put our health at risk?

Our health is so important to us that we keep making schedules to go on that morning walk and keep moving it ahead since we don’t have time for the day we scheduled it to be. Funny aren’t we? We smoke, we drink, we act like sloths, we become couch potatoes, we sit and wonder what could we be if we didn’t just sit there, we take car wherever we can instead of walking some distance, we eat globes full of sugar etc, you can imagine where I am going with this. Yes, we ourselves are victims of our ignorance for health.

Even if we don’t eat or sleep well,Β we always expect ourselves to be healthy and strong. We hardly give time to ourselves in the race to be the best. We sometimes get lost in the things or people we lose and lose track of our own health. Our health is our biggest and most important wealth but it’s also an important commodity and when we think of it as commodity we might as well think of taking care of it so we can prosper.

Health is wealth
Whoever said this, was an extremely wise person.

Being the healthiest person in my home and someone who loved sports I miss it so much now. I have pledged to become healthier this year and start having some of the adventures I have been keeping in diaries for the last two years.

I hope that this year all of you will have great health, wonderful times and if you are in bad health I hope you will muster the courage to be positive and do your best to be better.

  1. If only people will understand that being fit is the MOST important thing in life! I was overweight once due to depression but that taught me a good lesson and now I’m all for fitness and jogs and running. A lot of people don’t believe me, but I am happy that this happened to me otherwise I would have lived an ignorant life.
    I think parents should focus more on teaching children about a healthy lifestyle because if the foundation will be strong people will practice a healthy lifestyle till their last breath.

        My novel is presently getting edited by my publisher’s editorial team. As far as I can say it’s still slated to release in the second half of July. Dates will be finalised after we’re done with editing. Thank you for asking πŸ™‚

          I am getting healthier and busier at the job since it’s audit time. Feeling great these days anyway since my health is in good stats. Planning to start exercising in a month or two.   2. I’ve been guilty of this, too. I’m so busy working and caring for family that I’ve neglected my own health. My diet is good but I need to exercise. However, I hate gyms, so I’m trying to stick to a good schedule of regular walking (the dog is loving it). πŸ™‚ Thanks for stopping by my blog, it’s nice to meet you.

  3. Absolutely, health both mental and physical is so important. I used to have bad health due to being overweight but several years ago I changed that part of my life and try to exercise as much as possible.
    Although a lot of people are afraid of exercise, it really is important to health. My health has improved so much with regular exercise. It’s just hard to find the time the more hectic our modern lives get.
