My Secret SuperPower Is – The Ability To Never Give Up.

Never Give Up. Never giving up the passions you had as a child and the ones you develop as an adult is an important character trait…. Believe it! It is my super power.

Spencer Johnson What would you do if you weren't afraid? Never Give Up

Since we are young we are told that something or other are not what we should be. Because society and families have different plans for us and our own choices do not fit in the scene. Most of the time we give in. Due to our own lack of understanding, we let the path chose us instead of choosing our paths.

As we grow after 20 we learn things. We understand that what anyone ever asked of us was for a reason. For whose good it was is another question. The question then is, ‘are you willing to forgive? Others as well as yourself?” Refrain yourself from the blame game.

What happened is gone time. What can be done to amend the bygone?

We can always secretly keep the light of our passion burning. Our passions need not die. Our families won’t pressure us forever, maybe from their pressure, a strong desire to do your thing will be born.

Let’s read a quote dear to my heart.

“Make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future.

The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty.”

Accept. Change. Grow.

I am a full-time Bank Officer, currently working as an Assistant Manager at a semi-urban Branch. Working more than 55+ hours every week. Sacrificing my weekends as and when asked. Being a banker was not my priority. I was a leaf drifting on the wings of wind when I landed my job. Wanted to be many things, unsure of what I wanted the most. Even with less time, I persuaded the different things I wanted to do. Those who have been following me since start knows about my journey better.

I love writing. My blog is my blood turned to digital ink. Writing is something innate to me and I can not give it up no matter what. So whenever I have time I write & I keep going no matter how tired I am. At times I am grumpy about not getting enough time for it. Thankfully, my family and my husband ease my mind. I am lucky.

Most important thing is, the ability to not give up. Know the power of self-motivation. Never forget who you are and what your dreams are, pour your whole self into your work and stay happy.

The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

  1. Deeply inspiring post! You speak my mind, I agree with every word in the post. Adventurous spirit is far more important than secure future. Have changed my direction recently in searching for a more adventurous lifestyle. I follow “listen to your heart” principle, and look for a more fulfilling life. Thank you for the brilliant post!

  2. The thought of having adventures in life is the most inspiring of them all. As we grow from being a kid to being an adult we realize that it is fun to do things, the moment we lose our childishness about it is when we get lost. For all I know it is never too late or too early or too late to be what you could have been. Trust me, I am 60. Having lived this long with a family to grow and a larger family to take care of I have missed much fun too but I am making up for it now. Having the time of my life. You too, have fun dear one.

  3. I am relentless, like you. My super power is, though, that I bounce back. No matter how hard Life hits me, I always bounce back. No matter what people tell me I can’t do, I do it. That’s my super strength.

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope you get more time to write!

    1. Love your comment, Sam. I take bouncing back as a much important part of not giving up as well. Non-breakable spirits are just super awesome. Yep, you! Love, have a wonderful day Sam. 🙂

PS> It has been almost a month and a half since I have written something here. I have been pretty busy lately. Seeing your comment made my day. Thanks 🙂

  4. When someone writes a paragraph he/she keeps the image of a user in his/her brain of how they will be able to see it. You write so beautifully. Therefore this article is outstanding. Thanks!

  5. Such a beautiful and inspiring post. I can totally relate to the feeling of agitation if I have not had time to write! And I love your phrase ‘writing is my blood turned to digital ink’ – so powerful. I am reminded of a quote ‘it is never too late to be who you might have been’ – George Eliot. Thank you for sharing your inspiration with us! I look forward to reading more of your words xx
