Solemn Oath

The Awkward Solemn Oath I took at the beginning of 2017…

Solemn Oath means a dignified promise you make mostly to yourself or someone else. In other words, it also means, ‘you are screwed!’

Remember those tiny voices that start ringing in our heads as the New Year approaches? Yep! I have those too. Some call it New Year Resolutions, which I don’t make as I know I won’t be able to ride the resolution cart through the year.

Solemn Oath My Petridish Micky Mouse

Nope! Just can’t.

Life of Pi. Work Life

Work Life. Working Towards An Early Grave? Are We?

Work life takes up almost 8-10 and sometimes 12-14 hours of my life. I often sit at my desk and while my fingers are tirelessly going on at the keyboard my mind wanders off onto the balcony of my room. Suddenly it’s morning again and I can hear the birds chirp and have some tea in the company of my running mom and dad.

I have a family of working people, we all pinch for time with each other. I will surely hate such a married life where both of us are running around doing mind-boggling tasks for an employer who will replace us without a blink. Such is working life. Times are tough too, we have to do something to sustain our lifestyle. Plus, being entirely dependent on other will be quite boring perhaps?

Many European countries are facing problems with Government funds because decades ago people used to retire early, like in their 40s or 50s and there are not enough young people. Holly Molly, they were so busy in work life they even forgot to make babies?

In the vast and fast life, every day is passing by so quickly before you know it it’s already a New Year. When you are happy time flies by easy, without us noticing it. How many times does it actually happen? How many times time just flies by because we are busy with stuff? Stuff like our jobs, transits, things we keep planning for but not do etc.

Sad rice panda.. Work life

Now Government is thinking of making the retirement age 62-68. Whew! I am surely retiring early to being a self- employed person have a cubicle job so I’ll be fine I guess but what about the inny-minny monkeys hanging from the roofs fixing all the roofs and windows? What about the tiny waist air hostesses? Plus have you people seen today’s old people in our industry? People above 50 are already bored and sick of their job. They can not wait to retire! Monotony kills people before old age can. Learning new thing? Nuh-huh!

Here’s What You Learn By Watching National Geographic’s Before The Flood Movie.

National Geographic has made a climate change movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, it is “Before The Flood”. It seems the filming began somewhere around the shooting of “The Revenant” also starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Leo takes us on a journey of our world in this 1 hour 35 minutes. We also get to see how people protested that Leo doesn’t deserve to be UN Messenger of Peace. Before The Flood movie is about the climate change we are facing and can see it happening on day-to-day basis but still be in denial of the same. It’s about how our politicians and giant corporate snakes poison our minds into feeling that, “no the environment is doing just fine.” So, that the corporates do not lose the consumers and the politicians can keep getting the big bucks.

Being employed in a public sector I understand that consumers are important to the well-being of an industry and even more important for its flourishment. That’s why we can see so many different marketing propagandas to lure more people in.We also have to market things to bring in more customers and sell more of our products. The private sector is even more pressurized than we public ones are.

But more than that I see that people do not care about what they are consuming as long as it’s cheap and looks promising. Have you ever seen a person at the mall who buys some more because there’s discount or it’s cheaper? Don’t get me wrong, not all those products are bad and not all those people are bad. Those people are just doing what they need to do to keep their jobs. It’s up to the buyer to buy the bullshit or not.

Perfect strangers so close yet too far apart

Perfect Strangers. So Close Yet Too Far Apart.

This article will reach all kind of people, the perfect strangers that I write about. People from different ethnicity and religion, different cultures and age groups will be reading this post. Most of us will never meet each other personally nor would we talk for more than a few times if not at all. Yet, by reading each other’s written words or pictures we converse.

We convey to each other our heart’s desires and our deepest troubles yet we feel misunderstood and unhappy. Most of us will never know what the person living next to us wants the most or fears the most, we won’t know a lot of things about someone who lives right next to us leave alone someone who lives a thousand miles away.

Yet by crossing this initial barrier of ignorance and invisibility, by acknowledging that someone out there is going to read my post, just imagining about that makes me feel the presence of another human being. Just like me, sitting there, reading…

There are too many of us and we are all too far apart.

So true Kurt Vonnegut.

I say this because I feel that we have become immune to everything else but ourselves. Every tragedy, bad news, social issues sounds fake somehow. The person walking two steps from us seems like a perfect stranger, we hardly even recognize that person as a human being. Our power of empathy seems to be taken away from us because there’s just too many of us… Too many to count.

Write Every Day… A Rarely Followed Classic Advice.

Awhile ago I received an advice,“Write every day”. There’s nothing new here, it’s an age-old advice. It’s still great because it’s true. I agree, writing on daily basis is exceptionally helpful to budding writers like me. It helps you increase your vocab and learn new things. It teaches you to break off from laziness and write stuff, stuff that matters to you.

Perhaps writing stories become easier as you go on, your mind develops a fluidity and words flow. Whenever I am writing something with continuity I can feel the words flowing like a river but as soon as I skip a day or two it stops. Then I have to force myself to write and do it till I can feel the flow again. I have been blogging for a year and three months now and I have not written 100 posts by now nor do I have thousands of followers. Makes me look like a lazy person and I become one time to time. Just so you know, I love my blog and adore writing here being around people who write/take photos/share their thoughts is awesome. I am sorry for not being more punctual.

Write Every Day. Enid Bagnold

Being Writer

Being A Writer.

“Being writer who moves people with her writing is my aspiration. I am still practicing, not good enough.” I said with sparkling eyes. “Dude, seriously?” At an office party I found myself sitting beside a pedigree kid who has been talking about how his father’s huge clothing business and how getting into banking is so not his thing. Honestly, why do people do a job if they don’t need it and are going to whine about it all the time to those who want to do it?

I found myself marveling at the fact that human ignorance and self-righteousness actually knows no boundaries when I told a that I want to be a full-time writer someday. The prompt response I received was, “Dude! Seriously? Isn’t that borish? Sit and make things up? A total waste of your talents you know.” Not wanting to offend the man I racked my brains for a subtle answer. How could he know what talents I have in 3 months? “On top of that It’s too easy to write. Can you tackle a financial formula and give a loan? Don’t think so. I can write a novel if I want to but I don’t. Like I said, it’s borish.”

Advice That Mattered. Reliving Memories.

We all have a few advice that mattered to us as children but ones that we forgot as teen-adults and kept getting our butts kicked because of that. My one such advice was given to me by my sister. She used to tell me, “Look around. Learn from others. Their mistakes/failures/success/actions etc. You don’t have to do them all yourself. Learn from others. Whatever you want to do, believe in yourself.”

Quiet Echos. My Petridish

Quiet Echos. Looking For Someone To Listen To, At The End of The World.

In the sea of our kind, we are all lone souls.

Awhile ago, I read about a lone Blue Whale. She is supposedly only one of her kind. She sends out messages at 52 Hertz and she has not been heard in last two years. Being a Blue Whale enthusiast I feel so helpless whenever I read about her. Scientists says whales change their call frequencies they don’t know the reason behind it but they think it’s because of the noise pollution created by our various kinds of ships.

52 Hertz Whale or World’s loneliest whale, that’s what they call her. When I think about her I feel like she is Alice, lost in the wonderland. This Alice is one of her kind and perhaps the most wonderful kind one can meet but alas, she is without a friend. She doesn’t have someone to listen to her calls and no one has replied her quiet echos yet. I wonder if she wants to be Alice at all. Just the thought is immensely painful. I really hope this Alice finds a friend or she already has according to this article. Please do listen to the audio of Alice. Some comments on the sound-cloud site says, “she seems lonely and sad.” I think she is hopeful. The recordings of her voice are quite old, the first one was recorded in early 1989s.
