Imagination is the fire of life…

It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default. J K Rowling

My Secret SuperPower Is – The Ability To Never Give Up.

Never Give Up. Never giving up the passions you had as a child and the ones you develop as an adult is an important character trait…. Believe it! It is my super power.

Spencer Johnson What would you do if you weren't afraid? Never Give Up

Since we are young we are told that something or other are not what we should be. Because society and families have different plans for us and our own choices do not fit in the scene. Most of the time we give in. Due to our own lack of understanding, we let the path chose us instead of choosing our paths.

As we grow after 20 we learn things. We understand that what anyone ever asked of us was for a reason. For whose good it was is another question. The question then is, ‘are you willing to forgive? Others as well as yourself?” Refrain yourself from the blame game.

What happened is gone time. What can be done to amend the bygone?

We can always secretly keep the light of our passion burning. Our passions need not die. Our families won’t pressure us forever, maybe from their pressure, a strong desire to do your thing will be born.

Whats Up People? How Are You?

Hey you, Whats up? How are you doing? Is 2017 the year for you so far? I have been pretty busy for the most of 2017 so far. Today, I want to update you guys on whats going on with me so far and what I plan to do as the year passes. I wrote a post last year after the first quarter of 2016 passed. This year, I am on a different page altogether.

First off, I am in a pleasant mood and happy to be alive in this too much work too little rest no time for anything year. I am exhausting busy at work which is the second main reason for me not being online. First reason being, family affairs.

Since January, we have been quite busy with March closing month. For those who don’t know, I am an Assistant Manager working with one of the largest banks in India, ‘Bank of India”. Being the second in command I am learning to work in a whole new light. It’s rigorous work, there are too many people without bank accounts and my current branch being situated in an industrial area we are always busy with new accounts, advances, and other products. To those wanting to join banking sector in India, my advice is, learn to be tough and kind, it is very important in our country where more than 30% population is illiterate and don’t know banking at all. Banking is not for the faint-hearted in this era of evolution in India.

Any day, this amount of customers is nothing new to me now.

Write Every Day… A Rarely Followed Classic Advice.

Awhile ago I received an advice,“Write every day”. There’s nothing new here, it’s an age-old advice. It’s still great because it’s true. I agree, writing on daily basis is exceptionally helpful to budding writers like me. It helps you increase your vocab and learn new things. It teaches you to break off from laziness and write stuff, stuff that matters to you.

Perhaps writing stories become easier as you go on, your mind develops a fluidity and words flow. Whenever I am writing something with continuity I can feel the words flowing like a river but as soon as I skip a day or two it stops. Then I have to force myself to write and do it till I can feel the flow again. I have been blogging for a year and three months now and I have not written 100 posts by now nor do I have thousands of followers. Makes me look like a lazy person and I become one time to time. Just so you know, I love my blog and adore writing here being around people who write/take photos/share their thoughts is awesome. I am sorry for not being more punctual.

Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi… Be The Change You Want To See In The World.

Out of all Mahatma Gandhi quotes, this one pops up almost everywhere…

BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.

Mahatma Gandhi is a man who lives on despite being dead for 67 years. His simplicity, generous & strong will are shining rays of hope for many. I don’t like him as much but I like the work he did. It will be his birthday in few hours and I am so sad because if only it was the day after tomorrow if it hadn’t been 2nd October on a Sunday it would have been a holiday for me. :p hahaha Jokes apart, I am really very happy.

It’s a wonderful night here. Listening to the music flowing freely from the speakers in some grounds far from my home because it’s the first day of Gujarati’s favorite festival, Navratri. I think of all the people swaying to the melodies and feel like dancing myself.  Even the crickets are chirping along the music so well. Lucky guy to be born in the festive times.

Mahatma Gandhi….

Mahatma means “A Great Soul. I wonder how Gandhi must have felt being called a Mahatma. Did he feel proud of all he had done or was he just happy and didn’t care? Ever thought how history will remember him? Imagine being a role model to some and being a nightmare for others? Never dreamt of being called “Father of The Nation” or “Baapu”? I don’t know but I like to imagine that he didn’t think about it at all. That he just selflessly did all that he could to help his fellow beings.

Today I see many complaining and suggesting how it can be a better world if someone else could change. For example, there’s too much traffic, why did that man bring his car to the market holding up all the traffic? How am I going to complete this assignment? darn that teacher. When will my colleague stop being such an ass?

I wonder since when did we start needing others to be better so our lives could be better. I mean if only “OUR” lives were to be lived by the actions of “OTHERS”… Not a bad idea, if you write a novel about it, do give my idea credits! 😛Mahatma Gandhi quote

If Gandhi was alive today, I wonder what kind of storm he would have brought. On his birthday, I like him or not I want to once again remind myself that I only need to change myself to change the world.

What happens when you decide to BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD?

  • Some thought process changes. Instead of wishing, you start doing. By doing, you bring something in this world that is powerful enough to change the atmosphere around you.
  • A teacher of mine once said, “Circumstances are never in your favor. You just have to do your best and keep going.” Don’t wait for things to change and be in your favor so you can do better. Don’t look for faults in others, don’t blame others to justify your bad situations. Don’t blame yourself either. Just do, do what is necessary to be better. For the change.
  • One starts being happier.
  • Complaints become less and one becomes more engaging.
  • Being the best version of yourself is not achievable in a day, but day by day things keep changing and before you know you have a whole new life to look up and smile about.
  • Believe it or not, life becomes different.
  • Change is challenging. It’s tough and rewarding in its own ways.

We need not be Mahatmas but somehow we all can in our small ways start lighting up hope like the tiny lamp posts standing tall in snow, burning away, giving our warmth and light to the world and to ourselves.

I wanted the post to be 300 words long and it’s already >600. I am a firm believer in being the change I want to see in the world and somehow I can’t help but hope that no matter what things will turn out nice.

Well, Mahatma Gandhi.. I wish you a very happy 147th Birthday. I never thought I would say this but, thank you. 🙂 & my dear reader, I wish you a happy Sunday.

Advice That Mattered. Reliving Memories.

We all have a few advice that mattered to us as children but ones that we forgot as teen-adults and kept getting our butts kicked because of that. My one such advice was given to me by my sister. She used to tell me, “Look around. Learn from others. Their mistakes/failures/success/actions etc. You don’t have to do them all yourself. Learn from others. Whatever you want to do, believe in yourself.”

Quiet Echos. My Petridish

Quiet Echos. Looking For Someone To Listen To, At The End of The World.

In the sea of our kind, we are all lone souls.

Awhile ago, I read about a lone Blue Whale. She is supposedly only one of her kind. She sends out messages at 52 Hertz and she has not been heard in last two years. Being a Blue Whale enthusiast I feel so helpless whenever I read about her. Scientists says whales change their call frequencies they don’t know the reason behind it but they think it’s because of the noise pollution created by our various kinds of ships.

52 Hertz Whale or World’s loneliest whale, that’s what they call her. When I think about her I feel like she is Alice, lost in the wonderland. This Alice is one of her kind and perhaps the most wonderful kind one can meet but alas, she is without a friend. She doesn’t have someone to listen to her calls and no one has replied her quiet echos yet. I wonder if she wants to be Alice at all. Just the thought is immensely painful. I really hope this Alice finds a friend or she already has according to this article. Please do listen to the audio of Alice. Some comments on the sound-cloud site says, “she seems lonely and sad.” I think she is hopeful. The recordings of her voice are quite old, the first one was recorded in early 1989s.

365 Days of Blogging. My Journey So Far.

If a writer falls in love with you, you live forever.

365 days passed so fast. 365 days of blogging or the lack of it. I am not a big fan of birthdays or any other kind of celebrations, not that I do not enjoy it, it’s just that I find them unnecessary due to my lack of time for writing. A hearty wish is more important to me then a party and gifts. I flutter and smile like a child when my siblings and my parents wish me and I take in their sweet thoughtful presents like a child. “What did you bring me?” I would ask like a child and gasp getting excited when my brother presents me with a Harry Potter book on my 16th birthday! Gosh! Best gift ever. So guess what happened when my blog turned a year old on the 3rd of July? Nothing special! I wished myself and went to sleep. Hardly even came online for almost half the month. Didn’t even mention it to anyone.

Earth Day. Leonardo DiCaprio on Nature & Earth

Let’s celebrate. THE EARTH DAY. Shall we?

Then I heard the enormous scream of nature….. ~ Edward Munch

Hi everyone 🙂 So… Happy Earth Day. Planted a tree so far?I am writing this post in honor of The Earth Day. To be able to live here, we are so lucky aren’t we? But what are we doing to earn it?

We make a living. We earn. We sell our skills and talents as we get paid in return. Earth has offered us so much by birth but what are we doing to EARN the amazing resources the Mother Earth offers us?

International Earth Day began in the early 1970s by America. For obvious reasons it wasn’t a hot topic then. Now it’s a burning topic.

2016. Sunny side up. Sunflower. Hows you been

First Quarter of 2016 Gone. Hows it been?

Years pass us by and we keep asking ourselves, “where has the time gone?” Time is absolute and he doesn’t like to be kept waiting unlike one’s boyfriend. It is almost mid April and three months of the year 2016 has passed us by. Hey, hi how are you doing? How’s your New Year Resolutions doing? How’s you treating yourself? You can answer this in the comment section of this post, please do, it would be fun to know.

After one week of awesome time in Goa I am back home and back to my job. I loved April so far. Since March end and closure of the financial year I have been entirely away from blogging. Good for me, I am back now. My mind is aching to give voice to the thoughts I have been having. I have tons of books and manga to read. I want to read and devour lots of blogs I have been putting off. I want to binge watch anime/movies. I have so much to do. Good thing, I do not make resolutions or they would be in tatters.

I could do so much more. 2016

Yep. Exactly.

How did it go for me till now? Ummmm… Let’s see:

  • Blogging is a bug and I can’t get rid of it. I want to write as bad as I want to read articles. Adventures, people, worldly matters, life, travel, books etc fight in my head to be written about first.
  • Steadily becoming healthier.
  • Planning a few adventures. Living for them.
  • I am reading again. Not like read a novel in a month but read an entire novel in one sitting. Crazy reading, I am back.
  • Had a day when I kept asking, “What a day. Is this destiny?” Still asking.
  • Silence is golden.
  • There’s no such thing as too much cheese. I LOVE CHEESE.
  • Sky gives hope. Sun, Moon, Stars, Planes, Satellites, birds… Sky is full spectrum of life. Spectacular Sky.
  • Writing. Trying to find my balance.
  • Asking questions. (As usual. Roll eyes all you want!) :p

2016 is a year full of adventures and fun little moments. Difficult times are bound to come just as the great times. I am ready to embrace them both.

Live. Love. Laugh.

Take care pals.

Wanna share about your 2016 so far? Comment 🙂

Ignoring health till too late

Humanbeanies are funny… Ignoring health till very late.

Tons of overweight people, hospitals are full of patients, we run to doctors even if we catch a cold. We are fearful of becoming sick, yet we do not take care of our health as much as we should. Newspapers and internet forums are full of tips and tricks for a good health and still the global health scale is going down. There’s going to be more people on support of medicines then ever before. How did this happen?

Aren’t we ignorant enough? We ignore many things and we get over things as easily. We forget about out health the same way we forget to clean our attic for years. Soon ghosts occupy the attic and health troubles get accustomed in our body. Don’t just laugh it off, the later is true enough.
