I rarely come across people who do not like quotes and for those that don’t like it, I wonder how they must feel when they find their social media feeds full of them. To be able to quote life in a few words is a major accomplishment in my opinion. To be able to say something which becomes a “quote”. WOW.

Quote word gains it origin somewhere around 16th century. Almost 5 centuries ago. What began as citation of texts or personal remarks slowly took form of fashion and the words began to spread in letters, notes, plays, ads, word-of-mouth etc. Slowly the medieval word kinda took over the world until making reference to others or citing a text or a person became a worldwide phenomenon by the 20th century.

Scroll down your feed on any social media and you will notice minimum ten quotes, yes even in blogging. I have an old notebook from my school times. It’s full of quotes and there are so many different types of marking. For example, three stars against an important quote, two against another, you get the idea. I recently read many posts containing quotes and loved so many of them. So I thought I’ll dedicate a post to quotes.
