SuperCouples Inspiring Stories of Couple-Preneurs By Prachi Garg

SuperCouples are a necessity in today’s world. SuperCouples by Prachi Garg is a book that contains 19 inspiring stories of couples who started a business together, stayed together through the ups & downs and created a successful venture out of thin air.

Most couples who work together to bring their dreams to life end up inspiring hundreds of others in the process. Still, it is a fact that being a business couple is tough. Taking decisions about different aspects of business and living under the same roof is a huge responsibility. As a result, respecting each other’s opinions and understanding values that they stand upon is important. Furthermore, arguing is a part of life, imagine being with your life partner in every situation including work & personal i.e 24*7. Yet, the 19 couples in the book SuperCouples by Prachi Garg keep surprising people.

Love and work can go hand in hand, when your life partner becomes your business partner.

After reading Prachi Garg’s first book SuperWomen I was intrigued to read the second book asap. The second book is more surprising than the first one in the aspects of inspiration, especially for couples. If you are a couple who is about to start a business or who wants to do so in future, you must read this book. Many of the couples came as a surprise because I have been using their products since ages and never realized whose brainchild it is.

For example, SoulFlower, did you know that a couple is behind this whole home spa idea? Yep, Amit & Natasha are one such couple. If you have not tried any Soulflower products yet, I urge you please give a try to their superb range of mindblowing calming and relaxing products.

Facebook Artologue and you will find another couple beaming at you from behind the scenes. Stories and art from their travels around India in an attempt to promote art for all. Imagine making a business out of Art for all? Nice concept. Hats off to Meenakshi & Jey.

Super Women Inspiring Stories of 20 Women Entrepreneurs by Prachi Garg

Super women exist all around us. That being said, nowadays it is not usual to find stories of Women entrepreneurs in newspaper articles and magazines. But to know the full story we have to look around us and take help of Google to know more about these women. Even then it is difficult to get to know a good deal about how those women achieved success in their endeavors.

Super Women by Prachi Garg focuses on 20 women entrepreneurs who chose careers in different fields despite the herd-mentality of people around them.

You can either be part of the problem or the solution.

I knew one of the Women-preneurs, Alicia Souza from Facebook. I love her illustrations and seeing her mentioned in the book was exciting. Check out her illustrations you will feel warm and happy in no time. Rest of them came as a surprise to me even though I regularly follow news especially related to Women Entrepreneurs.

Logan The Wolverine X Men Marvel Movies Superhero My Petridish

Logan. In The End, Time Beats Us All.

This post isn’t a movie review about Logan, the last Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) movie. It is about the abundance of thoughts springing through my mind after watching the movie. 17 Years of my life, Hugh Jackman’s life and Patrick Stewart’s life – one crazy obsession – the perfection of play and the heroism.

Precisely 3 years ago, X-Men sent Wolverine back to 1983 to stop Mystic from assassinating Bolivar Trask whose death leads to the creation of sentinels (robots designed to kill Mutants). Wolverine succeeds and future of X-Men changes.

Fast forward 3 years and you find that the future didn’t change so much. Somewhere along the time line things happened, time changed its gears and another enemy of X-Men appeared. In the movie timeline, no new X-Men have been born for 25 years, only those who were bred in labs to be rats to the hands of the same scientist who designed a virus that killed the real X-Men. Wolverine, Professor X (Charles Xavier) & Caliban are the only remaining (or so it seems) X-men.

So what changed? X-Men dies at the hand of seemingly normal humans anyway. What changed? TIME.

Time gives life to heroism and sucks it out too.

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton – A Book Review

I have been a fan of Jurassic Park movies & Steven Spielberg for over 20 years and I never had a mental picture of me feeling so cheated after reading just ten pages of the novel. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jurassic park by Steven Spielberg so imagine my surprise when I started reading the book and it turned out to be a whole new level of adventure?

Dr. Alan Grant Jurassic Park Movie

It begins with a quick hospital visit to Costa Rica islands by suspicious people in the middle of the night for what looked like animal scratching but told otherwise by the men in the helicopter? Similarly, another incident takes place on the island where a girl is bitten by a lizard-like creature while visiting with her parents. An American doctor Martin Guitierrez living in Costa Rica tells them it’s nothing to worry about but gets curious when he sees the drawing of the lizard that the girl made. Later on, he goes to look for the creature and accidentally gets a carcass of the same lizard. He sends it to another researcher at a university lab.

Thus begins the hunt for Hammond’s mysterious island (Jurassic Park) and his suspicious activities by the government of America.

Welcome to… Jurassic Park

Hammond is a science lover who wants to bring back the pre-historic creatures in order to create a new business. A new kind of amusement park that will shock the world and make him a renowned thinker of the 20th century. He is working with Dr. Wu a top of the class in his days and someone who wanted to make legends with his genetic research.

One Indian Girl or Should I say One Obnoxious Girl by Chetan Bhagat. Book Review.

Chetan Bhagat claims to have figured out women with his latest book “One Indian Girl”. He even went through a painful waxing session to learn what it feels like. Honestly, I think Chetan Bhagat will have to take many births to get there for real. That being said, I felt sad for Indian Literature after reading his book.

Here’s why I think One Indian girl by chetan bhagat is the worst novel I’ve read till date…
 Hilary Duff Gif

Radhika, the obnoxious Indian girl in Chetan Bhagat’s new novel is an intelligent, smart and outstanding employee (A VP) at Goldman Sachs. Me Before You By Jojo Moyes – BOOK REVIEW

me before you

Sometimes we accidentally come across books that stay with us for a long time, a book that you can recommend without second guessing. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes is a romance novel that I will recommend to my fellow book readers be it a girl or a guy. I read about quadriplegic people are like and what they go through before because I ogle every word I can. Imagine yourself living in a body which you can not control, the only thing you have is your mind, you are trapped in your mind and the company you keep can make or break your spirit.
